Hallow is a fine fabric of reality between the instances of the conscious and the unconscious of our minds and also a narrow passage to the beyond-world. It is believed to be where dreams are born and close to where we keep our most intimate secrets and fears. There are incredible mysteries and manifestations in this place.

It is thanks to Hallow’s world that people have dreams (and nightmares). Without the dreams, there is no hope, and without the nightmares, there is no courage. Humanity needs them the way it needs air, but it has forgotten who the heroes behind this struggle are, who sacrifice themselves every day so their dreams are not empty. The Forgotten Heroes daily loot the Dungeons of Consciousness in pursuits of the Treasures of Mind that they use to bribe the great and vile Mind-Eater Brain (CDM).

An evil old man, slaveholders, and interdimensional traveler is a perfidious mentor who reaps entire races for his own twisted end. It is a massive be-shaped brain that resides in a brine pool in the center of the minds-eater community. Currently installed in the Consciousness Dungeon. In past ages, CDMs controlled empires scattered across many worlds. They subjugated and, consequently, perverted, entire races of humanoid slaves. United through a collective consciousness, the plots of CDMs are as encompassing and evil as their unfathomable minds can conceive.

If this villain is not appeased, the projection is that he will extend his dominion from beyond the world to other layers of reality and thus be able to take control of the fabric of consciousness for the purpose of subjugating and exterminating the entire human race.

The legend of a magical artifact that, if found, could be used to defeat CDM once and for all, to free Hallow from his oppression and to save all mankind.
