Recreating events of historical significant such as the Mars Exploration Rover Missions (MER) which is a ongoing robotic space mission involving two robots, Spirit and opportunity, exploring the planet Mars – to explore the Martian surface and geology. Using a digital elevation model (DEM) is a digital model or 3D representations of a terrains surface created from terrain elevation data.
