Guerrilla Bob
Guerrilla Bob is a third-person shooter shown from an almost top-down
perspective. Choosing one of the four available characters (not all of them
are available right away), the player moves him through cities to shoot down
enemies, break through barriers and fight a boss at the end of each level.
Players control the character’s movement and the direction of the firing.
Switching between weapons can be done at any time
The available weapons acquired while playing include a machinegun, timed
bombs, molotov cocktails, shotgun, double uzis, flamethrower, rocketlauncher,
grenadelauncher, sticky bow, and chaingun. Weapons have an unlimited amount of
ammo, but sometimes require a cooldown time. There are also power-ups that
improve the existing weapons permanently. Other power-ups are time-limited and
offer faster movement speed, armor or more damage. Health can also be restored
and medals provide extra points.
The main game modes are Arcade and Mercenary, both with two difficulty levels.
The modes are identical in level design, but in the latter enemies leave
behind money that can be used in an in-game store to acquire new weapons and
upgrade existing ones. Some of these weapons are also available in the Arcade
mode, but there they are found through pick-ups while playing. The third mode
is called Survival. It consists of a single area where the player needs to
survive as long as possible. There is a regular Survivor mode and a wave-based
one called Wave Attack. The store of the Mercenary mode is also used in the
latter.
All platforms offer cross-platform cooperative multiplayer games through WiFi.
Local multiplayer is available through split-screen (Macintosh, Windows) or on
a single device (iPad).
