## Description
_GridLines_ is an electronic adaptation of a popular pen-and-paper pastime
known as Dots and Boxes, first published in 1889 by French mathematician
Édouard Lucas, where two players take turns connecting dots on a grid to
create squares. In this version the players can be human or computer-
controlled, with other customization settings and modes available from the
main menu.
There are three single-player modes. Classic mode has five difficulty levels
to choose from, each featuring a computer opponent progressively more skilled
at the game. Bonus mode is similar to the previous settings, but with
different values for each potential square, with certain grid positions giving
extra points and adding a strategic element to the gameplay. Custom mode has
adjustable options for opponent skill and bonus points, also setting the board
size and how many lines are already added to the grid from the start.
In the multiplayer mode, two human players compete on boards of variable size.
An integrated mp3 player can be used to add a custom soundtrack.
