Ghost Town Mysteries – Bodie
A reporter goes to the deserted town of Bodie, California, to investigate
ghost sightings of Evelyn Byers, a seven years old girl that was mysteriously
murdered with a pickaxe in 1897.
Ghost Town Mysteries: Bodie is a hidden object game using a real ghost town
as the main theme. At the start of each of the fourteen chapters, the player
has to reassemble a tombstone to receive a key for the next location. The
gravestone pieces are dragged from five slots at the bottom to be dropped
inside a green outline, connecting each other in a jigsaw puzzle to restore
the ruined tomb.
The key opens one of the abandoned buildings, where the objective is to find
and click on all the items listed on a notepad at the right side of the
screen, on locations filled with assorted paraphernalia. The hint button is a
spider inside a jar, that descends from the ceiling spinning a web to show the
exact position of one of the required objects. Flies can be collected to feed
the spider and receive extra hints. In some instances, the goal is to find the
differences between two old photographs with similar images.
