Frozzd is a platform game set in space. When an astronaut discovers the
planet Mubbly Kingdom, the only one in the universe not covered in snow, he
meets the king of the Mubblies. It appears all Mubblies have been captured and
frozen by the evil Frozzd race. The player needs to visit different planets
and take the yellow Mubblies back to their home. From the main universe map,
which acts as a hub, the player selects a planet to explore. New ones are
added when a level has been finished and they need a set amount of points to
unlock.

Levels consist of platforms of different sizes and shapes, all floating in
space. The player controls the astronaut, constantly followed by the king and
an army of Mubblies that gradually joining them. The astronaut is able to run
around all shapes and jumps to enter the gravity of another platform and orbit
it. Some can only be accessed at a high speed. The astronaut has no means of
defence, but he can help avoiding Frozzd attacks and controls the two main
commands: Unfreeze and Attack. When in Unfreeze mode, the Mubblie king and any
others joined will unfreeze all nearby Mubblies. When in Attack mode, they
engage all Frozzd on the screen. The astronaut’s movement and choice of
commands is vital to complete a level. When some Mubblies have been frozen
again during attacks, the player can choose to retreat and free them first.
When all Mubblies have been turned into ice, the level is restarted.

Frozzd enemies come in different strengths and shapes, with new ones
introduced in each level. Some are able to disappear, split up into smaller
ones and certain groups go for rush attacks. The game is finished off with an
end boss. Each level has the player retrieve a set number of Mumblies, shown
in the top left hand corner of the screen. When they are all collected, the
astronaut needs to return to the space ship. The levels are all time limited
through the astronaut’s suit temperature. He needs to restore it by picking up
hot cups of choco.
