Frontline Commando: D-Day is a mobile shooter set in the realities of World War II. The production was developed by Glu Mobile studio and it uses a free model with micropayments.
The action takes place during World War II, during the landing of Allied troops in Normandy in 1945. The game does not have a multiplayer mode, but offers rich content for a single player. Five campaigns are waiting for the crossing to recreate the landings on the beaches of Utah, Omaha, Sword and Utah. In total, the authors have developed 145 missions, and among them we are cherished with historical curiosities. Passing the levels, we unblock access to other campaigns, including those belonging to other campaigns. For example, if we have a problem with completing later challenges on Utah beach, we can take a break from them for a while and instead take care of skirmishes on Sword beach.
While having fun we don’t have full freedom to explore the maps. Instead, during the clashes we can only change the location within one cover or jump to another. So we focus on avoiding enemy fire and choosing the right moments to lean out of the barricade and shoot. We can also use a telescope on a rifle, which allows us to make more accurate hits, but at the same time exposes us to the counterattack of enemies.
When we clear a section of enemies, the game switches to endless runner mode. In it, our soldier rushes to the next location. The character moves forward automatically, and we only correct its movements to avoid collision with obstacles or to protect the hero from being hit by a mine. An additional variety are the sections that appear from time to time, in which we take control of powerful guns and we have to destroy enemy planes and tanks.
