I actually REALLY enjoyed the story in this game. I know I’ve played it in the past, even beaten it once probably a decade ago- but this time I tried to be really discerning of it’s quality and it impressed me. Granted the graphics are pretty bland now, but the music was good, the pacing of the story was good, I really enjoyed the characters, pretty great game in the end- my only complaint was some of the difficulty spike near the end but overall super enjoyable.
