## Description
Emmerdale is a long-running soap opera set in the fictional Yorkshire village
of Emmerdale, it’s been on UK TV screens since 1989 and is something of an
institution. _Emmerdale Game_ is a DVD game based on that series, it has over
seven hundred questions, three modes of play, and can be played by one to four
players or teams of players.
In the Standard game players take turns spinning for a question category, the
objective being to answer one question correctly in each group. The categories
are Families, Workplace, Romance, Woolpack, Feuds and Friendship, if a player
answers a question correctly in a category they ‘win’ that category but should
the spinner reselect the same group they must once again answer a question
correctly to retain that category. This game can be played in Timer On mode
where players have a fifteen second window to answer the questions or Timer
Off where there’s no limit.
In the Longer Game players play the game in exactly the same way as the
Standard Game but now they must answer correctly each of the six categories
twice in order to ‘win’ that group, an incorrect answer will lose them the
group and two further correct questions must be answered to win it back.
In the Superfan Game players are asked six multiple choice questions, one from
each category, to earn a Superfan rating.
