## Description
_Dornier Do-27_ is an aircraft add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and
Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The package was originally sold in separate
download versions only, but is here combined in one retail package.
The Dornier Do-27 was the first serially produced civilian aircraft in Germany
after WW2, and two models; A1 & B1 are included, in several paints based on
actual aircraft individuals, with some extra liveries available from the
publishers website. One can operate the aircraft in ‘simple’ mode (e.g. jump
in and fly) or in a more complex Pro-mode, requiring the pilot to be fully
familiar with the aircraft; for which purpose a detailed Pilots Operation
Handbook is included, both in German (paper & PDF) and English (PDF).
The aircraft operation is closely modeled on the original, to include damage
modelling for e.g. engine mishandling, and rough landings. Once damaged, the
aircraft needs to be taken through a repair checklist before one can fly it
again. Apart from normal flying around, one can also simulate parachute jumper
operations, for which purpose extra passengers and a special door
opening/closing method is used. Engine cowls open/close, doors
open/close/lock, and avionics can break/are unreliable depending on the mode
used. The cockpit is both in 2D and virtual 3D, with working switches.
