Disgaea 4 Complete+ is an extended and complete port for the tactical Disgaea 4 RPG, which was originally released on PlayStation 3 in 2011. The title is a combination of turn-based strategy and traditional RPG. There were also doses of specific Japanese humour, which is the trademark of its producer, Nippon Ichi Software, which despite more than twenty years of history due to misguided business decisions was on the verge of bankruptcy in 2019. In the production, players will find many references to pop culture and jokes from the schemes used by feature games and fantasy films and books. Complete+ version contains a number of graphical enhancements, as well as the full content of all DLCs released to date, including new items, scripts, and playable heroes. There are also some minor changes to the title of the game model, which are known from the following parts of the cycle.

### Plot

Disgaea 4 Complete+ action, traditionally for the whole series, takes place in the Underworld. The main character of the story is a several hundred year old vampire named Valvatorez, who was a merciless tyrant and terror among his subordinates. But because of his promise, he stopped drinking blood and fell to the hellish hierarchy. The woman before whom he made his vows, however, soon died and found herself in the world of the dead, where her soul most likely turned into a little creature – Prinny. When Valvatorez learns that the authorities of the Underworld are planning to exterminate the majority of Prinni, he decides to do everything he can to climb back to the top of the line and stop this operation. A werewolf named Fenrich, whom he met while working as a prison guard, is at his side to fight. Finally, a young girl named Fuuka, who lost her life in mysterious circumstances, joins the plans to overthrow the demonic government of the Underworld.

### Mechanics

The Disgaea 4 Complete+ gameplay model remained unchanged from the rest of the series. We spend most of our time in the game on three-dimensional battlefields. Fights take place on boards divided by a grid of square fields, on which move both the units under our orders and all opponents. Each character in a turn can move and attack an enemy within its range. We can use various combinations of attacks, spells and abilities, as well as special, dealing massive damage to Kombios. Each subordinate has his own set of skills, special moves and equipment, which can be modified during the game. Our base is Hades. In this place you can buy new weapons, equipment, choose the next role-playing mission, etc.

### Technical aspects

In terms of graphic design, Disgaea 4 Complete+ looks much better than in the original. All two-dimensional sprites and animations, as well as textures in three-dimensional charts, have been replaced with new versions in high resolutions.
