### Ailfred
Ailfred is a Captain in the Vooresh Army and has seen his fair share of combat during the war. Growing up, Ailfred befriended the king of Vooresh, King Ralts, which has catapulted his career and status in society. However, Ailfred is conflicted with the war and considers it a heavy burden on his men whom he tries to take good care of in the midst of so much calamity. Ailfred is hardly seen without his best friend Lieutenant Shakar close by.
### Shakar
A queen of daggers and stealth, Lieutenant Shakar has a significant list of talents that serve her well. Although she has only just recently joined the Vooresh Army, it is clear she already acquired the necessary skills to be a good soldier before becoming a soldier. Shakar sports a care free attitude, but is fierce in her nationalism and friendship with Captain Ailfred which can sometimes come at odds because of Ailfred’s views on the war.
### Orson
At a very young age, all male children in the Empire of Vooresh must undergo mandatory training and military service. The training instills discipline and nationalism at a very young age resulting in a more powerful soldier for the Empire. Orson is a prime example of this militaristic culture. He is quick to follow orders, believes in the Empire’s cause and is brave beyond his years. Orson is at odds with his captain as Ailfred’s view of the war wanes.
### Habar
Being Abeyan, and not human, Habar and like so many other Abeyans like him know all to well the dangers they face. It is their duty to educate those around them and inspire hope even when all seems lost. Left with raising his daughter, Niomi, by himself; Habar must be the very careful in balancing Niomi’s childhood with teaching her about the real world they live in, but also to let her be a kid and grow up on her own, no matter how difficult life can be.
### Niomi
Wise beyond her short years, thanks to her father’s guidance and the disposition Abeyan’s must endure, Niomi has a somewhat optimistic view of the world she lives in and effortlessly manages to find the good and beauty in life even when humans would regard her and other Abeyans as filth. Niomi has a insatiable curiosity and desire to learn as much as she can and better understand the world. The bond between her and her father is unbreakable.
### King Vooresh (Ralts)
King Vooresh (King Ralts to those closest to him), had the unlucky honor of the war breaking out shortly after becoming king of Vooresh. Twelve years ago, the Kingdom of Kairon and Hess-Erabi formed an alliance and invaded Vooresh kingdom. They where able to drive them off their land and through iron will, Ralts was able to reorganize and strengthen his armies and tactics which later resulted in a brutal victory over Hess-Erabi to form an Empire. Ralts was childhood friends with Ailfred.
### Celeste
While growing up in Aldair, a rich but secluded town in the Kingdom of Kairon, Celeste had very little hardships thanks to her fathers fortune. Celeste pursued the sport of fencing at a very young age as do most wealthy families living in Kairon. This would seem like a simple life, but Celeste cannot ignore how while her family is filthy rich, so many in Kairon are devastatingly poor. The desire to help is always there, but as her father would say it, “wealthy people are wealthy for a reason, poor people are no different”.
### Wedge & Biggs
Wedge and Biggs represent almost every soldier under Captian Ailfred’s command. One of the heaviest used companies in the war, these soldiers have been at the forefront since the initial invasion to the brutal occupation of Hess-Erabi. Even with their higher military training and discipline than other countries, these soldiers have endured so much that the once unshakable discipline they all had begins to vaporize away ever so little until it spills out as insubordination.
### Gabriel
One of the three generals in the Vooresh Army, Gabriel is a quite character that little is known about him, but holds tremendous sway over the king and the events of the war. Gabriel is in charge of the war planning and execution of such plans. He is a clear force to be reckoned with and is rumored to be an excellent fighter. Although his methods are cruel, no one can deny the progress and transformation Vooresh has made since being invaded.
