Detective Dixie and the Revenge of Wishteria is a mobile adventure. It was developed by the Indonesian studio Giant Leap.
The action was set in the title city of Wishteria, where magic combines with steampunk elements, and the streets of the cities are strolling both ordinary people and beings straight from fairy tales and legends. At the start of the campaign in the metropolis is not going well. A series of mysterious crimes made the inhabitants afraid of their own lives. Someone has to take on the task of restoring order and security and this task falls on the shoulders of a young private detective named Dixie. It is burdened with the obligation to solve a series of extremely difficult issues. Initially they will seem to be unrelated, but as you learn more and more tips, you will see a picture of one person responsible for all the misfortunes.
Detective Dixie and the Revenge of Wishteria is a 100% adventure, so the game tests only our cleverness and there are no arcade challenges. While playing, we explore the city, talk to characters, collect items and solve puzzles. Some elements of the investigation take the form of logical mini-games. In addition, listening scenes play a key role, during which we need to use the knowledge we have acquired previously to show the gaps in the witness or suspect’s relationship and, as a result, to discover the truth. If we manage to collect enough evidence, we still have to go to the police station. The last challenge awaits us there – to convince police officers to arrest the perpetrator discovered by the heroine.
The game offers attractive two-dimensional graphics. It was made in a cartoon style, taking into account eye-catching animations, both during the game and during intermittent scenes.
