Democracy 4
### Mechanics
Just like the previous versions of the series, Democracy 4 is a turn-based economic strategy in which we become a leader of a fictitious democratic state, and our task is to govern it in such a way to meet the expectations of society and thus remain in power.
The game offers a complex simulation of socio-economic processes. We get a lot of freedom in making decisions, but our actions have a significant impact on the situation in the virtual world, resulting in both positive and negative consequences. The game is diversified by a system of random events.
The third part of the series was released in 2013. Since then, the world and political realities have changed a lot and the game reflects this. Thus, old threats, such as e.g. v-chips, which were to be installed in TV sets in order to block specific content, were abandoned. Instead, we have to face, among other things, fake news and manipulations using social networking sites.
The game offers much more content than previous parts. It has been enriched with all the elements and improvements that appeared in the expansions to Democracy 3, such as Extremism, Social Engineering, Clones & Drones, Electioneering and Democracy 3: Africa.
### Game modes
Democracy 4 only offers single player mode.
