Decompression

Decompression is a top-down online shooter embedded in the reality of science fiction, created for mobile platforms. The title is the responsibility of Sathra Games studio from Warsaw and Cracow, and the project was financed with the support of the Polish crowdfunding platform PolakPotrafi.pl. Marcin Cieœlikowski took patronage over the game, for years associated with fantasy and games.

The action of the game takes us into an undefined future, and the players play the role of one of the colonial infantry commandos, entangled in a corporate struggle for space resources. Its task is to neutralize the threat on spacecraft, planetary mining stations or moons of foreign planets.

In Decompression, players compete against each other in three game modes, well known from classics. And they are: Deathmatch, Team Deatmatch and Capture the Flag. Eight unique and interestingly designed weapons are at the disposal of players, and the essence of the game is dynamic gameplay in a classic style. Importantly, the game is distributed in a premium model and does not contain any micropayments, which, according to the authors, are one of the biggest disadvantages of modern mobile games.

The creators of the game set themselves an ambitious task to create a modern network shooting on mobile devices, not differing in the quality of workmanship from console production. Their inspirations include cult “hard” science fiction films such as Alien, Absolute Memory and Outland. Fully three-dimensional graphic design of Decompression was made in cel-shading technology and both in terms of style and quality is definitely different from most of the budget mobile games.
