Curse of the Pharaoh: The Quest for Nefertiti
Curse of the Pharaoh: The Quest for Nefertiti is a “spot-the-difference”
game. The screen is split in half with two similar scenes at each side. The
player has to click on the divergent bits between them.
The screens have some coins embedded on them that can be collected to buy
gameplay enhancements, extra hints and mini-games at the store. These mini-
games are variations of classic games (Simon Says, Whack-A-Mole, memory match,
etc). More hints can also be collected by clicking on a character that
randomly appears on the screen.
Some of the objects clicked go to an inventory at the bottom of the screen.
They have to be used at specific places to solve simple puzzles and further
advance the game (for example, a crank has to be placed on a lever mechanism
on the wall to lift a cage).
Some stages have a complete screen, where the objective is to find hidden
objects and pieces of a pharaoh mask. Wrong clicks turn off the lights,
leaving only a small circle around the cursor visible. If the player takes too
long to find anything, the game hints at places on the screen with a small
flash.
