## Description
_Cubozoid_ is a one or two player, shareware, tile/block matching game
similar to Zuma and many others.
The object of the game is to achieve a high score and the game play concept is
simple. Coloured blocks start filling up the screen from one edge and the
player has a block at the other end of the screen and which must be placed so
as to form a line of three blocks of the same colour, this causes that line of
blocks to disappear and scores points. That’s the basic concept, however
levels become much more complex as:
* the blocks don’t just appear on one side of the screen, they may appear in the centre or in a corner
* the player is often able to fire in blocks from more than one side
* the blocks don’t just fill in blank areas in a sequential manner, they often follow maze-like routes as they advance towards the player.
* Then there are the power-ups, bombs that destroy surrounding blocks, lightning bolts that clear a whole row / column, and ones that speed up or slow down the rate at which the blocks move.
There are six episodes and a total of thirty-six levels in this game, these
are played on a world tour map which serves to record progress and the
player’s current level. Each level is played against an obscured backdrop
picture which is gradually revealed as levels within the episode are
completed.
This game features two modes of play, the single player ‘Linear’ mode and the
two player or ‘Group’ mode, two levels of play – an easy untimed mode is
available, and progress is saved automatically when the player exits the game.
