Crabify borrows some ideas of classic arcade games such as Boulder Dash, but includes many novel features. The player controls a crab through many levels, trying to open the exit to the next level. To reveal the exit, you either need to push letters into the right order, or collect a certain number of gems. Crabify includes a level editor that allows users to select their own background image. Games are recorded and can be shared as a ready-made animation with friends. This can, among others, be used to send interactive, personalized greeting cards and make fun of other pictures found on the web. Crabify was entirely written in JavaScript and therefore works in all modern browsers.
