Countryballs – The Polandball Game is an Android-based comedy endless runner, inspired by the popular online memo. The production was developed by BitStern studio.
The project is based on a humorous memo that was born in the English section of the German forum /INT/. The discussions in his pages were often attended by a Pole with the name Wojak, whose knowledge of English left a lot to be desired. The figure of Polandball, looking like a ball with reversed colors of the Polish flag, was created as an innocent joke from a Wojak. However, comics with her participation became so popular that they quickly gained a more universal character and balls that were caricatures of other nations started to appear in them as well. Countryballs – The Polandball Game not only recreates many of the classic jokes from the original jokes, but also offers seventeen new comic books specifically designed for the game.
Countryballs – The Polandball Game has no storyline component. Instead, it allows you to steer one of fifteen colourful balls representing different countries in the world. While playing, the character rushes automatically to the right side of the screen, and our task is to issue commands modifying her behavior, such as changing lane or making a jump. In this way we avoid collision with obstacles and contact with various traps and threats. During the game we have the opportunity to visit four different locations, filled with different challenges.
As befits a typical endless runner, in Countryballs – The Polandball Game it is impossible to win. Sooner or later each player makes one mistake too much and the game ends in failure. The whole game is about trying to get the highest possible score, and trying to beat the records of your own and those developed by the rest of the users.
