## The story behind Cooperative Chess
Cooperative Chess is part of what has retroactively been termed a “molasses
jam” run by the Bay Area Dev Collective. The theme of the jam was to make a
violent genre non-violent . Somehow the idea of co-op chess came up during a
brainstorming session, and I knew immediately that I had to figure out how to
make it work. And now you and a friend get to experience it yourselves.
