## About This Game
What is Commanding Nations
Commanding Nations is bringing RTS gaming to the modern era by injecting new
innovative gameplay mechanics, next gen visuals, combat systems, interactive
maps and unique factions into a genre which has not seen much change for the
past twenty years.
Gameplay mechanics are the bread and butter of any good RTS game, so it’s no
secret that we want to get this absolutely right. We spent time on the simple
things such as base building and squad creation by combining units all the way
to the more complex elements, for example, all units can run out of
ammunition, forcing players to return to safe zones to refill, giving
defending sides time to lick their wounds, at the same time if any player
think they can turtle away in their base, they are mistaken.
When we say next gen visuals, we mean it. Besides beautiful looking graphics,
we are also adding things such as dynamic weather, night vision, heat vision,
mist and interactive grass where certain units can hide when prone. Once
again, these are just a few of the things which are being added to Commanding
Nations.
Now let’s talk about interactive maps. Whilst Commanding Nations offers
multiple game modes and maps, the main game will take place in Twin Valley, a
newly designed map that brings RTS Multiplayer to the next level. Twin Valley
is a large interactive map, it has the usual strategic points such as hidden
pathways and resource points. But wait, there is more!
City Centers & Rebellions
You might think the cities are empty and ready to be taken, but that’s far
from the truth.
The civilians in the city are more alive than ever, and if you try to destroy
what they have, they’ll come after you. Rebellions will start to form and
spread throughout the map, taking strongholds in buildings and near important
pathways, shooting at anything that crosses their path.
Environmental influences
Apart from the villages, the environment itself will also have an impact on
the gameplay. Birds will be hidden in trees and, when troops get near, will
fly away, alerting anyone nearby of the troops’ presence. Another more
strategic effect will be the trees. You will be able to shoot them down to
block certain pathways so that either only a select amount of troops will be
able to pass through or the tree needs to be removed.
Factions
Commanding Nations will launch featuring 3 factions: Anchor Security
International, Hong Corp and the Scavengers. Each of these will have their own
unique units, buildings and abilities, giving way to plenty of different
playing styles. Every game will be a different one. A full description of each
faction is available further down.
However, a game with only 3 factions is no game, that’s why we’re already
working on the next few. All commanders will have their own army, some PMC’s,
but we will also have some actual ‘Nations’, to honour the name.
Competitive gaming / Esports
Do you want to show your friends who’s boss? Want to absolutely wreck them in
a virtual game? Want to brag about rank? Look no further, Commanding Nations
offers a full competitive system with a wide range of ranks. Time to grind the
skills you so desperately need to be 1 rank above your friends.
Other than just normal ranked, Commanding Nations also seeks to cater to the
more professional players of RTS: Esports. Commanding Nations will have full
abilities for Esports, be it on a large or smaller scale, because who doesn’t
like to watch a proper match.
Taking Multiplayer RTS to a new level

Sound
SFX
Every game has sound effects and in competitive games they are absolutely
crucial. Commanding Nations is no different from these. Every unit and
building has their own sounds, going from shooting to moving to idling. All
these sounds have been specialised so that you can recognize everything in an
instant, and don’t need to worry about what unit you selected.
