Game Analysis | Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker builds upon the Captain Toad levels first introduced in Super Mario 3D World. In the game, players control Captain Toad, who must safely navigate across various levels in order to reach a star at the end of each. Captain Toad is unable to jump, but is able to pull out roots, which reveal either coins or turnips that can be thrown at enemies, as well as sprint in a dash. Players can manipulate the camera to view around the level, which can reveal hidden areas containing bonus gems. The game makes use of the Wii U GamePad's features, as the player can touch the screen to manipulate platforms, as well as use gyroscopic controls to aim turnips whilst riding mine carts. | |

This game was great. It’s pretty much a bunch of puzzles to solve. But it’s with Captain Toad. He doesn’t do much for fighting. Just using the level to your advantage. Throwing onions and falling on enemies. There is a story to it. A nice little story to along with what you’re doing and why. Collecting stars at the end of each level. But in each level there is a challenge to do and three diamonds to find. And it can be challenging.
The graphics are great. The music is nice and adventurous. A little guy’s big journey feel to it.
Conclusion: Overall this game was great. A nice fun little game to play if you have a Wii U.
