_C-evo_ (short for _Civilization Evolution_ ) is a 4X strategy game similar
to Sid Meier’s Civilization II. The game features hotseat multiplayer with up
to nine players. It also features an API for developing new and better
artificial intelligences. In fact, one of the main design goals behind the
game was to improve upon the lacking artificial intelligence of _Civ II_.

As in _Civ II_ , the main objective of the game is to develop your nation into
a modern economic powerhouse that is capable of taking the next leap in human
evolution: interstellar colonization. In the process you will expand your
territory, engage in foreign relations, exploit natural resources and–if fate
should have it–conduct wars with neighboring nations. Progress in the game is
marked by several milestones where your nation reaches certain historical
levels, such as the Industrial Revolution and modernization, with the last one
being the end goal of the game.

The game does not currently support Internet multiplayer.
