In the year 1981, a series of horrifying murders happened at Black Mirror
castle, the home of the Gordon family. Twelve years later and thousands of
miles away Darren Michaels, a young physics student works in a rundown photo
studio while visiting his mother during the holidays in Biddeford, a small
town in Maine. Fuller, Darren’s slimy, grumpy boss, is harassing him all the
time, so he’s in a bad mood when he first meets Angelina, a beautiful girl
from England. But just when things seems to brighten up, his mother lapses
into a coma, Fuller is murdered and Angelina gets arrested as a suspect. While
Darren investigates what happened, he discovers more questions than answers.
Why did his mother lie about her income and who sent her money each month? Who
is the stranger that spied on Angelina and now tries to get her sued for
murder? All traces leads to Willow Creek, a small town in England…
Black Mirror II is a 3rd person point & click adventure. The player
collects all kinds of objects, talks to NPCs, combines items to move the story
forwards. There are also a couple of minigames (logic puzzles) to be solved.
The player can choose between easy and normal difficulty. The riddles remain
the same, but choosing the easy mode he gets additional hints in the diary on
a step-by-step basis and the possibility to bypass the minigames. The user
interface has some different features. You can scroll through the inventory
items with the mouse wheel, search for hints in the detailed diary and the
cursor shows if a combination is possible or not.
