Bit City is an economic strategy for the AND and iOS platform that deals with the construction of cities. The production uses a free micropayment model and was developed by NimbleBit studio with titles such as Tiny Tower, Tiny Tower Vegas, Pocket Planes and Pocket Trains.
### Mechanics
Production is following the route taken by the developer’s previous titles. So we are dealing with a simplified economic strategy, which is more about the joy of building than about balancing profits and investments.
We start the game on an empty field, where we have to build a vibrant metropolis. The city offers three types of neighbourhoods – residential, business and service sector, each with its own unique buildings, which we can then improve. In addition, we also need to buy cars, ships and planes that provide traffic on the map.
The constructed buildings bring regular profits, allowing for further extensions and improvements. Issued on AND and iOS Bit City has a lot of clicker in it, because the game was designed so that almost all the time we have something to do, but at the same time achieving success requires mainly patience. It is difficult to spoil the virtual economy and the authors have made sure that the game is relaxing.
Fun is driven by the mission system. On each map we have specific tasks to complete, and after reaching them we move to new areas and start from scratch.
### Technical issues
Unlike other games of the developer, Bit City shows the action from an isometric camera. The authors focused on attractive three-dimensional graphics made in a simple, but very impressive style, using mainly single-colour bright planes. Thanks to this, observing the development of the city is a real pleasure.
