Alone, adrift and abandoned in the depths of space. AU: Abandon is a game about vast procedurally generated star systems, a desperate search for the resources needed to say alive and the peace and solitude of space…
AU: Abandon will be a free game that I will hopefully release at the end of December (Edit: Probably early January now). As it currently stands it’s a project that I set myself to try and re-motivate my love for making games and allow me to produce something small and rewarding.
If I like what I manage to make this month I will consider developing a new AU game, hence the subtitle ‘Abandon’. This game represents a small part of the ideas that I currently have for the AU universe and where I want to take it.
For now I’m not going to reveal too much about the gameplay of AU: Abandon, only that it I hope to strike a balance between the struggle for survival and the peace of travelling through open space.
The release I produce on December 31st is unlikely to have music or sound but future updates will definitely add those features to the game as I feel that they’re both crucial to the atmosphere.
