Apache Strike is an arcade game, realized in the convention of a typical shooting, set in the perspective of the first person. The player will play the role of the pilot of the popular AH-64 Apache helicopter, whose task is to exterminate other units attacking and trying to completely destroy a hypothetical city in the United States.
As in any program of this type, so in Apache Strike the player has a limited influence on the control of the helicopter. It boils down to reducing and increasing the height of the flight, as well as turning left or right (in Activision’s product we move in a network of winding streets, in which buildings are symbolized by simple, three-dimensional solids). Of course, in the course of the flight you not only have to take care of bypassing the obstacles that emerge from everywhere, but also of shooting, because there are many enemies both on land and in the air. The game is not easy, because every direct hit causes a breakdown of the on-board equipment and, as a result, a crash. For the daredevils there are several dozen stages, in which they have to destroy a certain number of enemy forces.
Audiovisual is very poor and certainly far from other programmes of this type. Only an attempt to use vector graphics deserves attention. Unfortunately, the monotony flowing from the continuous passing of the same solids does not count on the plus.
