This is a story that takes place over the course of several years, starting as a preteen and ending in adulthood. The main character Laura often finds herself forced into situations by her friends, who seem to only be trying to help. Romance was never something she actively looked for, but she can’t help but escape it as her friends take it upon themselves to help her find love. But are any of them really any better off then she is at this little game they call adolescence?

Laura’s best friend. She doesn’t care too much about what others think of her, at least she didn’t. She has a carefree attitude and a desire to help Laura in any way possible. She deals with growing up similar to how Laura does, however she doesn’t show it. She finds a niche to cling to immediately,, but is this truly her, or a cheap mask to hide her troubles?
A quiet young girl, a year younger then the other gals. She feels lucky to be included with the other girls, and doesn’t speak her mind often. As she grows up, she begins to change herself and work at what she considers to be her best qualities. As she begins to better herself, she begins to question her past self and if her friends are what they say they are.
She has always cared about her personal image. She tries to act as proper as possible, and look as pretty as she can. Her friendships are thin and might just give way at any moment. unlike the rest of the girls, she doesn’t seem to have be changing much as time moves forward. Is it possible she is in fact the least in touch with herself?
