The genesis of Advanced Tram Simulator dates back to the mid-1990s. Initially, the simulation was created in a version for a 16-bit Amiga computer. In 1997 members of D6Team decided to change the hardware platform to PCs and use much more advanced development tools.
Advanced Tram Simulator allows you to sit in the cockpit of popular tram cars operating in Poland. Initially it was only Konstal 105Na, but with subsequent updates of the test version also appeared Duwag GT8, Duwag GT6, Ganz UV and Konstal N tram depot.
The creators placed great emphasis on the realism of running virtual trams. The wagon models have been reproduced with attention to detail and compliance with the actual technical parameters. By default, the user uses the driver’s cabin view, but the optional mode also allows for a ride in the passenger compartment.
The advantage of Advanced Tram Simulator is an active fan community centred around this project. It has contributed to the creation of two track editors (RAINSTED and TramCAD), as well as many additional wagon models, textures and improvements.
