## Description
_500 for Windows_ is a trick-taking card game played by one player and a
computer partner against a pair of computer players.
500 (sometimes called _Five Hundred_ ) is a game that originated in America in
the late 1890’s. It is a variant of Euchre incorporating elements of Bridge.
The card game can be played by two to six players, in this computer version it
is played by one person against three computer opponents.
The object of the game is to stare how many tricks a partnership can make,
play the hand and score/lose points for making/not making the stated contract.
The first pair to score five hundred points wins or, alternatively, the first
pair to score minus five hundred points loses.
The game is played internationally and this has led to variations in the
rules, consequently this game has many different options. There are:
* Six different bidding rules
* Three different types of partner play, conservative, standard and cowboy
* Australian standard playing rules – these are the default
* U.S. Standard playing rules, and more.
