## Description
_4:32_ is a conceptual game made for the 2010 Global Game Jam where the
general theme was deception. It is a response to Petri Purho’s title 4 Minutes
and 33 Seconds of Uniqueness, which was in turn inspired by John Cage’s
musical composition _4’33_.
It builds on Purho’s title by exploring how 4 minutes and 32 seconds that are
meant to be spent playing a game are often wasted on the process common for
PCs to simply get the game to run. Set in a browser it presents the user
different requirements that need to be met before the game can be played,
based on specific plug-ins, having the correct browser, or colour, language
and resolution settings. When those are met it is revealed that the process of
meeting the requirements was the actual game, proving how game time can be
wasted.
