Game Analysis
The player controls Jimmy, a gun for hire who will do any job for the right price. The main character, Jimmy, is the same character from Jimmy's Vendetta. The Betrayal of Jimmy offers a more arcade-like gameplay, while still maintaining the basic structure, style, and controls as Mafia II. Players earn points and money for doing certain actions, such as killing enemies. In addition, this DLC is more internet-involved than the base game, with online leaderboards.The Betrayal of Jimmy is far less story-based than Mafia II. While the base game progresses in chapters, each one with a personal connection to the main character, the missions in the Betrayal of Jimmy are seemingly unrelated to the main storyline thread.The general layout is more free-roaming than Mafia II.
