Loki’s Breed is a side-scrolling shoot‘em up whose roots go as far as the Golden Age of shmups on Amiga. Don’t be deceived by its modern game art and its HD music – Loki’s Breed is designed as an old school game, with its nerve-racking difficulty, its numerous available weapons and its labyrinthine level-design. We tried nonetheless to add our own personal touch to the genre by implementing an experience system similar to what you can find in most RPGs and paying extra attention to the setting. You’ll soon realize that the story, far from being a poor excuse for shooting at aliens, will have a major impact on the level design and gameplay.
