Being in early access it is likely that the optimisation will not be fantastic and so a relatively high spec CPU is likely needed. Looking at the developers recommended hardware this definitely seems the case with a Skylake cropping up in the minimum requirements. Then again this game is not set for release for some time and so this might change in the future.
