Game Analysis
We wanted to make a game that used the tools of today to inspire the fun of yesterday. Our goal was to make a game that was as simple in gameplay as the games of the early 80s and equally as fun—even though gamers’ tastes have changed over the years. This led us to the classic style that permeatesall aspects of the game, from the gameplay, tothe art, to the music. Like most classicgames, BIT.TRIP BEAT is deceptivelydifficult. It pulls you in with easy-to-usecontrols but then beats you down withdifficulty levels that rival our favorite gamesof the 80s.While the game can be difficult, if you crank upthe tunes and get in the zone, you’ll have agreat time. Performing perfectly isn’t required to experience all the game’s content, but the extra challenge will keep score-hunters coming back in search of each level’s elusive “PERFECT” score.
